My opinion on the trial with Tom Robinson was that it was completely unfair. Of coarse I am sure that anyone who has read this has the same exact opinion on the matter. All of the evidence that Mr. Ewall presented was completely false and that entire courtroom knew that. To start off, when Mr. Tate first got up on the stand he was certain that Bob Ewall and Mayella were telling the truth. But as the case carried on it became clear to him that it was a lie. He realized this when Atticus pointed out that Mayella had been all beaten up on only one side of her body. Tom Robinsons arm was crippled on that side and couldn’t have possibly hit her. But the court obviously didn’t even want to hear about it. Tom Robinson tells the jury exactly what happens but it was like he didn’t say anything because the jury didn’t listen to any of it. In the end he was found guilty and was sent to jail. I perfectly innocent man with a large family had to go to jail because he was black. That’s the only reason because the Ewalls were known as trash and if they had accused a white person of doing it it would have never gone to court.
